The Better Day Alliance Foundation was contacted by Nicki Gawley and informed that the Day
Program was having trouble finding room in the budget for new and exciting programs for the terrific
people that use their services.  The BDAF was happy to hire
Zoo To You (as seen on Breakfast
Television) to bring their exotic animals to the Adult Day Treatment Program.  Jen from Zoo to You
was fantastic and brought some cuddly (and some creepy) creatures with her!  The men and women
that attended that day all seemed to have a great time.   Below are some of the pictures of what was
a fantastic day!

The Day Program's aim is to enhance the quality of life for deaf persons with complex needs
by offering the opportunity for meaningful day-to-day experiences building on each individual's
strengths and interests, as well as meeting the common needs of the group.  Clients in this
program may be developmentally delayed, physically challenged or have complex medical
issues in addition to deafness. They can be either an adult or a senior citizen. In each case,
their interests and abilities are taken into consideration and activities are designed
accordingly. There is also a social component to the program.

Dear Better Day Alliance Foundation,

I want to thank you for providing our
Day Program with the Zoo to You.  It
was a wonderful afternoon and a
great experience for our clientele.
Everyone enjoyed themselves.
There was one client in particular
that stood out from the rest.  She
would normally keep a distance
from large groups and very little
communication with her peers.
Though today she joined in with the
entire group and socialized with
everyone including the animals!  You
have given our clientele a gift that
they will never forget!  Thank you
BDAF, you are doing great things for
those in need!
